First, congratulations to the new Vipers coming on board for the 2023/24 season.  You should have heard from me and your coach.

For those who did not get an offer to join this year, you should have heard directly from us.

We are faced with the tough decision of selecting a handful of players for our softball program & rosters each year.  This year was the most challenging we have ever had in many respects.  I wish we had spots for everyone.  Unfortunately, we are unable to offer every player a roster spot for this season.  Believe me, I would like nothing more than to have everyone of you as part of the Vipers.

The staff and I made every effort to make the tryouts fair and enjoyable experiences for all involved.  I understand that not being selected for a team is a disappointment.  It is also a time to hold your head up high and be proud that you tried and were able to display your abilities and accomplishments.  Every player, and I mean every one, made their own impression on us.

Although we could not offer everyone this coming fall, I encourage you to stay in close contact with us and try again in the future.  We may be reaching out to you should opportunities arise.  If you see me or one of our coaches, please say hi and let us know how you are doing.  We honestly care about you and want to see everyone who came to see us continue to play our game.

Please follow our social media.  We will be posting for open hitting nights and events in the fall…if you are interested in coming down, we would love to have you and get to know you better.

I hope your softball journey continues in a positive manner and hope we can have the opportunity to come together again in the future.

Yours in softball,

Bob Germano
