Congratulations to Emma and Sam…well deserved

 

Emma Cunningham, Ramsey, OF

Cunningham was stout both as the second hitter in the Rams lineup and as the right fielder. With the bat she connected at a team-best .523 clip with 57 hits, 51 runs and 22 RBIS as well as a perfect 28 stolen bases on 28 attempts. Defensively she posted a .938 fielding percentage to go along with nine assists.

Emma Cunningham delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Ramsey the state title.

Sam Settecasi, Paramus, DH

Settecasi had an incredible sophomore year and she built on that this time around for her junior campaign. She posted a .518 batting average and a .592 on-base percentage with 43 hits (which included 14 doubles and 10 home runs) with 44 runs and 43 RBIs. She also stole 22 bases this season and posted a .930 fielding percentage as the Spartans’ shortstop.
