Our 14U White Team (Coach Jerry) was an inning away from adding a 2nd State Championship to an already impressive bucket list of team accomplishments.

The 14U White Vipers beat the NJ Pride and Morris County Belles on Saturday and lost a tight game to the NJ Breakers.  They earned a #4 seed going into Sunday play.  The day began with a hard fought 3-1 win over the Jersey Shore Huskies, earning a showdown with the #1 seed NJ Intensity (South).  The Intensity team is a very good team as seen by the 14U Black team in Voorhees a week ago, so the scouting report was already in.  The Vipers won the game in extra innings via the “ITB” rule to earn a rematch with the NJ Breakers.

The Breakers are a very well coached, classy team and could not be any more deserving to win the tournament.  The Vipers had an early lead, gave it up, tied it up in the 4th inning and eventually just “ran out of gas” according to Coach Jerry.  “Effort and execution were the motto of the day and the girls did an amazing job.  I am so proud of them.  They are ready for the TNT tournament next weekend”.

Congratulations girls…we are so proud of you.
