Update, Week of 9/26

September 26, 2022

1) Hitting Clinic this evening (and every Monday):

  • 10/12U: 7-8pm (arrive a few mins early)
  • 14U+: 8-9pm
  • $20 at door or Venmo @robert-germano-1
  • We request our coaches/ asst coaches be there to assist, or ensure we have enough to assist.  Preferably 5 coaches per session.  Can be willing parents too…we can make them a hitting coach in a matter of minutes.  This allows Coaches Jerry and I to 1) coach the coaches, and 2) to walk around and interact with/ assist as many players as possible.

2) Great job this weekend.  All good signs up at The Luca Tournament and a sweep by 16U in their scrimmage.

  • Great spreads by almost all teams.  Coaches L,L and L…you need to do this when you go up there in a few weeks.  It was impressive
  • I told the directors I will donate port-o-johns next year

3) Infield Clinic: Thursday, 9/29.  6:30pm-8pm at Pal Park HS.  The GPS address is Lindbergh Elementary School.  414 Roff Ave.  Pal Park, NJ.  As with the above, we want our coaches there to assist and run stations that we demonstrate.  This will be INFIELD WORK ONLY!  12U and up

  • 10/6: Outfield Clinic, 12U+
  • 10/13: Baserunning.  All levels
  • 10/20: Pitchers and Catchers Fielding.  12U+

4) 12U Black scrimmaging the Ravens at PPHS on Wednesday.  The tremendous umpire seen at the 14U Black game yesterday scheduled for that one.

5) Under Armour Half Price Promotion!  Another offer excusive to the Vipers!  This is a one-week promo that ends on 9/30!  Viper families can get 50% off the retail prices shown below on all UA glasses shown.  The #1 order so far is the UA Playmaker (adult and youth).  They come in Black and Lime Green (Viper Green).  A few other options do as well.  Not a required purchase, but a unique offer for you!  Contact Rachel Schanck at 201-370-2009 or at [email protected] for your order and payment.  Really cool option and tremendous discount.  Thank you Rachel for doing this!

6) Happy New Year.  Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is one of the holiest days in the Jewish calendar.  Meaning “head of the year” or “first of the year,” the festival begins on the first day of Tishrei, the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar.  Today marks year 5783.

7) Rumor has it helmets are shipping this week.  You will know as soon as I know.

Yours in softball,
