The parents and players of the 8U Renegades team surrounded the coaching staff in June after losing their first tournament as a team, 3 games, 45 – 3.  The Renegades and their parents had shocked and bewildered looks on their faces when Coach Alberti welcomed them to competitive Travel Softball.  The coaching staff asked the girls and their parents for a commitment over the next three months to come to practice, work hard and have a great attitude while doing so.  Coaches Adrienne, Chris, and Matt went to work with the girls at Kennedy Field and the Alberti training facility.  Three months of throwing, fielding, hitting and cheering culminated with the wearing of championship game only, Lime green socks.  The dedication, hard work, and of course the socks paid off.  The Fall League Championship was won in October, 14-4. Coaches and girls have laid a foundation for many years to come!  Winter workouts and drills in our indoor facilities start in December.  The girls, parents, and coaches cannot wait until our first tournament in the spring.
